Gilded Goblin Tools & Crafts was born from one painter’s obsession with detail, fantasy, and craftsmanship, and a deep frustration with overpriced or underwhelming brushes.
🧙 The Origin Story
My name is Angel A. Garza, and I’m the founder of Gilded Goblin.
Like many of you, I fell in love with miniature painting through worlds like Warhammer and Dungeons & Dragons, places where heroes are 28mm tall, and every stroke of paint breathes life into fantasy.
But time and time again, I ran into the same problems:
Premium brushes were too expensive.
Cheap brushes lost their tip after one battle.
Most brands felt soulless, just products, not passion.
I wanted something better.
Something crafted, not mass-produced.
Something that felt like it belonged in a wizard’s satchel or a dwarven forge.
So I took the leap and created it myself.

Every brush set we offer, starting with the Eldritch Brush Set, was designed with purpose. We use Kolinsky sable for detail work, goat hair for dry brushing, and craft each handle with comfort and balance in mind. No gimmicks. Just gear made for real painters.

Gilded Goblin started in South Texas as a side project while I worked full-time as a Purchasing Analyst and pursued a Master's in Supply Chain Management at Penn State. I poured nights, weekends, and all my savings into creating a brand I believed in.
Now, it’s grown into a full-fledged business shipping across the U.S., and we’re just getting started.
We’re expanding our line to include brush holders, cleaning kits, medieval-themed accessories, and more, all guided by feedback from our amazing community.
